Cinema 4D

Okay, since the first page I have bought the program. Pretty nice. Slow going with learning the details but any program this large will be like that. Here are some more dabblings and experiments. BTW, a couple of the computer magazines (like 3D World) were offering an old version (Release 6) on the CD that came with the magazine. That "free" version is resolution size limited and lacks the XL modules, but those can be added for a price. Not a bad deal for software that once costed about $1,500 several years ago.

PARSEC Logo

"Electron microscope" technique applied to a logo. Letter modeling done with Rhino 3D, post production done with Photoshop.

Lighting Experiment

This is just an experiment with various lighting setting and the use of subtle color.

Medical Illustration Look

This medical looking image was surprisingly easy to make.

Another PARSEC Logo

More classic text effect where different materials are applied to different parts of the text, post production done with Photoshop to enhance the "caustics" effect where light is reflected off the lettering onto the "table" surface.

Digital Sculpture

A virtual sculpture made with a modeling tool called "hyper-NURBS" that some people describe as "digital clay." Red, green, and blue light arrays were used for illumination.

Low Detail "Toon" Head

Again, using "hyper-NURBS" it is reasonably easy to make various detial levels of cartoon figures. Of course, I hope to get better at this.
